Working out, sweating, eating right, Shakeology Shake, and THICK!! WHAT???

As I have been focusing on my biggest problem areas– MY HIPS, THIGHS, BUTT– I have noticed that I just keep getting thicker and fuller. My jeans are all tight and my frustration kept rising. Even as a Team Beachbody Coach sometimes I even need a reality check. As I workout, I don’t want my clothes to get tighter. That TOTALLY defeats the purpose of why I workout– to get leaner and tighter!! I kept going… and I kept getting rounder!! I was on the phone with my BFF (who is also a coach) and she said… “Embrace it!! You’re building muscle!” Another (Team Beachbody coach/ Personal trainer) friend reminds me… “You will get bigger before you get smaller!!”

Does that make it easier?? Training hard, eating the right amount of calories, drinking my Shakeology and GETTING BIGGER!! UGH!!! POOIE!!!

But WAIT!! When I stepped back and looked at everything– with unemotional eyes!! It is working! EXACTLY THE WAY IT SHOULD!!! Is that good or bad?!? It is so hard for us to see something that is so simple when we are standing in our closets with nothing to wear!! UGH!! Right?!? But I am building muscle under the fat!! And until the fat layer burns off I have both!! Bigger before I am smaller!! It will happen!! What if it doesn’t?? What if I am just built thick in my lower body with muscle!! Then I am embracing my healthier and much thicker version!! Because although I may have been “smaller” before I started building the muscles in my legs and butt… I was soft, fatty and gooey!! IT WAS GROSS!! I still have a long ways to go to get to where I have rid my hips and thighs of the goop we call fat but in the meantime!! YEAH BABY!! I AM THICK!! I have the best legs I have ever had!! The muscles are POPPING!! I have a ways to go but I am getting SO CLOSE!! And I LOVE IT!! Embrace your healthier you!! We won’t all look the same at the end of the day but as long as we are healthy and lean then it is YOUR PERFECT YOU!!
